Alexander Graham Bell's mother and wife were deaf, and this influenced his life's work. His research on hearing and speech led him to experiment with hearing devices. Alexander Graham Bell was awarded the first U.S. patent for the telephone in 1876.

If the telephone had never been invented we wouldn't be able to talk to friends or family that live far away. We also wouldn't be able to call 911. If we weren't able to call 911 there would be many deaths and burglaries. If the telephone hadn't been invented the cell phone also wouldn't have been invented. Without cell phones we wouldn't be able to chat with friends and family when on the go or somewhere other than the house ( or apartment ). Phone booths also would not have been invented. Phone booths were used before cell phones were invented so you could talk with someone when you'r on the go or when you'r not at your house. Telephones are very important and will be used for centuries.

If telephones were not invented then we could not be able to talk to police for inmergencies(911).Also you could not to family members and friends.but without phones i would not get to talk to my grandma and grandpa in Japan!i really miss them.thats why i would thank Alexander Grahem!wow now of days im thinking of calling someone right now.i just learned that phones are really impotant!
if the the telephone was not invented we would have to go around the world just to say something.Or not even tell them well you could use Skype. we would die or get robbed we could not call HELP. You could not call for a ride home. so thats why the telephone is important in some ways anyway thanks a million Alexander Graham Bell.
If the telephone had never been invented we would not have a blog. Because if telephones were not invented the computer would not have been invented. And if the computer had not been invented then the wed or blog sites would not have been invented. That's why I think the invention of the telephone is important.
If the telephone had never been invented, millions apon millions of people would have different jobs thyan they do now. For example, my mom worked for AT&T. If the telephone had never been invented, that job wouldn't have existed and you would not have things like fax or voice mail. If we needed to call 911, we just simply couldn't. The quickest way of getting the word out would be to write a letter to the nearest hospital,and that could take weeks. Or you could drive your automobile to the hospital. (That option would probably be quickest.)
Many other inventors have turned the first telephone, a bulky heavy thing, into the modern day mobile phone. Thank you for your wonderous invention, Alexander Graham Bell!
If the telephone was never invented, I think that our race would not be as advanced because we would've had no way of communicating over large distances at a fast pace. I think that many people who invented important devices may not have invented them because they had no way of communicating with other people in distant places. Without telephones, communication with friends and family would be a lot harder. Life would be much harder because a lot of people use the telephone to make arrangements for important things. If you were ever in an emergency, you would have no way to contact anyone for help.

If the telephone was never invented, people could not video chat with friends and family. you could not call the police during burglaries, or if someone was in need of help, we could not call 911. Think about it. Technology would not be the same without telephones or mobile phones. family members from halfway across the world would not be able to talk to you from far away without mobile phones. We could not get apps like Facebook, YouTube etc. The telephone can be used for a lot of reasons.

If he had not invented telephone people would not be able to get much done. If he hadn't invented it things would be less efficient.

Also it would effect peoples jobs and it would be even harder to find jobs. There wouldn't be alot of communication with people far away from you. If I needed help from anyone far away I couldn't contact them. I wouldn't be able to call a family member. If some one was dying, I wouldn't be able to call for medical help.f someone wanted to call and order something they wouldn't be able to.
If telephones weren’t invented we couldn’t speak to people that were far away. Let’s say you lived in Washington D.C. and you wanted to call a friend in Seattle, WA. Imagine diving all the way across the country just to say hi. Ridiculous. Just ridiculous. We should all be thankful that Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone.
If the telaphone was never invented we would never be able to call a ambulance. Also we would never be able to call 911 for emergencies. Imagine driving from New York to Issaquah just to say hi. If Bell never invented the telephone, the cell phone would not exist (and the cell phone is one of my favorite inventions.) Finally the most imporant reason is to call Pizza Hut.

If telephones were not invented computers would not be invented because computers are just an add on to the telephones or the other way around. You could not make over-the-phone appointments with doctors. You could not call for pizza ether.

If your family gets into a car accident and your family needs to go to the hospital and you don't have a phone to contact the ambulance and fire fighters your family might die. Say somebody robs a house and takes a lot of stuff such as jewelry, money, and checks, you don't have a phone to contact the police and the robber is getting away and the robber has gun and said” I will shoot you if you charge after me.” Let’s say your friend gets struck by lightning and he keeps getting struck by lightning every time he tries to run away and you don’t have a phone he couldn’t contact the ambulance he might die. You couldn’t call for help.
If Alexander Graham Bell had not invented the telephone than jobs like ATNT or Verizon would not be intact. Also you wouldn't be able to phone call relatives or just friends. If there was no phones you couldn't call the police for help if there was an emergency. There are many other ways for the use of a telephone but that would be too long. Those are some of the uses for the telephone.
OMG!!!! if there were never telephones invented, I would never be able to contact my BFF's and family far away. We wouldn't be able to order a pizza! That would be terrible! You wouldn't be able to call 911 if you got hurt or something. i am so glad this guy invented the telephone.
Phones are used to call people,text,chat etc. Thanks to AlexanderG.Bell we use phones almost every day. Without a phone you wouldn't be able to call people that live far away from you. Also, we wouldn't have the iPad, iPhone,iPod etc. because the telephone was one of the first electronics invented.
If telephones were never invented I would keep in touch with people by sending letters. I love writing so I wouldn't mind.I could also email people who live far away. It wouldn't be great if we didn't have a telephone to talk with, but I'd make it work. You wouldn't be able to call someone to ask them a question. You'd just have to write a email or write a letter.
